The Beginning of "Petroleum Engineering Made Easy"

We, as Petroleum engineers, know the pain of not finding study materials on youtube or other related websites like for other courses related to Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics engineering and many more.

I believe we must have tried searching for queries on youtube to understand it better or to aid our learning from classes someday or other. I was no alien and tried multiple times to find the right stuff that suffices my requirements, but the majority of the time, it was saddening to return empty-handed.

Over the years, I have come across multiple sources that helped me at various points to understand the concepts better. Be it Reservoir Engineering, Production, Drilling or the other various majors, including Formation Evaluation, offshore engineering, well intervention, etc, we struggle to locate them properly on the internet and use it for our purpose. 

Above felt for almost 3 years during my Bachelor in Petroleum Engineering from IIT(ISM) Dhanbad because I always wanted to be clear with all my concepts and learn them in more detail and at my pace. This led to the search for resources online on a continuous basis and made me create this page to bring the same to the Petroleum Fraternity.

There are plenty of resources available online, but the best ones are always paid things, and we students cannot afford to pay hefty amounts for those resources. 

Petroleum Engineering Made Easy is an initiative to help the community to expand their horizons of knowledge without any barriers. It is challenging for Petroleum Engineers to find the right content on the internet, and hence this blog will bring the right stuff to the table for FREE.

When I chose to study Petroleum Engineering at IIT(ISM) Dhanbad, little did I know about the Oil and Gas industry. The only thing I looked up to was the handsome salary package involved after getting placed in this sector.  I, along with the people who graduated in 2023, had to face the COVID-19 pandemic, amidst which we started studying Petroleum Engineering for the first time. Since, due to the lockdown, everyone was at home so I started exploring a bit early on the courses available for beginners so that it could benefit me much more at a later stage when learning from professors at the Department of Petroleum Engineering.
